LUTUNKU COMMUNITY POLYTECHNIC is amongst the institutions created by the government of the government of the Republic of Uganda under the Ministry of Education and Sports, Department of Business Technical Vocational Education and Training (BTVET) in 2003. It was established under the presidential pledges as part of the solution to the unemployment challenge facing the youth in Sembabule District and in line with skilling Uganda.
The polytechnic has one campus with an administration block, a computer laboratory, and two twin workshop for GDC and FPP, MVM and C&J, dormitories for male and female students, a multipurpose hall and a kitchen.

SUPERVISION OF REAL-LIFE PROJECTS 2025 TERM THREE
This exercise was conducted by UVTAB (Uganda Vocational and Technical Assessment Board) officials on 10/10/2025. This exercise is performed to ensure that all Technical and Vocational training institutions uphold to minimum industrial standards and also to ensure that they are in line with the modularized curriculum set by ministry.
