UTC Kichwamba's Abdul Irumba Ruhweza Shines at Africa Tech Challenge, Earns Training Sponsorship in China

Abdul Irumba Ruhweza, a second-year Mechanical Engineering student from Uganda Technical College (UTC) Kichwamba, has made his institution and Country proud by clinching second place in the highly competitive Individual Performance Assessment at the recently concluded Africa Tech Challenge (ATC) held in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Africa Tech Challenge, an annual event sponsored by AVIC International, brings together top technical and vocational students from across the continent to showcase their skills in engineering and innovation. The competition is part of a broader effort to promote technical education and foster industrial growth in Africa.

Abdul’s exceptional performance stood out among dozens of participants from across Africa. His second-place finish has earned him a prestigious sponsorship for advanced technical training in China, a golden opportunity that will allow him to sharpen his skills in one of the world’s leading hubs for manufacturing and engineering innovation.
